Magalieskruin at a glance

Magalieskruin, as the name may suggest, finds itself at the foothills on the northern side of the Magaliesberg Mountain range, an area largely know as Pretoria North.  It is both well-developed and well-located to most amenities sought-after both young and old, first-time home owners, families who need easy access to anything and everything and those in retirement looking for a quiet and secure environment.

With a wide selection of both older and more modern-styled properties and prices ranging from fairly modest to the more luxurious, Magalieskruin certainly enjoys a balanced blend of residents.  Properties include townhouse complexes, simplexes and free-standing houses.

The attributes of Magalieskruin are fairly similar to those of its neighbours, including Montana, Montana Park and the older and beautifully green Sinoville.  Among the many attractions is the fact that it offers easy access to both the N1 and N4 highways via the Zambezi Toll Plaza and, of course, the beautiful slopes of the mountain as a background.

CLIMATE:

Magalieskruin lies at the northern slope of the Magaliesberg Mountain range and enjoys a more tropical climate than the rest of Tshwane.  This is particularly evident in the beauty and abundance of its naturally green environment during summer, which in places leans toward lowveld-type shrub and trees, found especially in surrounding open and undeveloped areas.  Summer days can be particularly hot but afternoon showers are the norm which helps in breaking the heat, while evenings are more comfortable.  Winter mornings can be cold bringing with it the possibility of frost on the odd occasion.  But as is typical in Tshwane, winter days become warmer toward the late morning and afternoons.

MAJOR ACCESS ROUTES:

Magalieskruin is bordered by the N1 to the east, with direct access to and from the highway via the N1 Zambezi Toll Plaza.  Once on the N1, access to the N4 highway is also only a few minutes away.  Travelling in a westerly direction, Magalieskruin also has access to the M1 and M5 providing easy entry into the Pretoria CBD and its neighbours lying on the southern slope of the Magaliesberg Mountain range.

The main thoroughfare for Magalieskruin is Sefako Makgatlo Drive, which is also one of the main roads in this greater area providing easy access to the most sought-after amenities available throughout its neighbouring suburbs.
